ABOUT CAROL LESLIE

About Carol Leslie

Carol Leslie Jazz Singer

Carol Leslie loves the American Song Book.

This becomes clear when she performs, as she embraces lyrics and melody with her unique style of blue eyed soul. She crossed the Atlantic to bring her talents to the USA and hasn’t looked back since. This Scottish import sings “Torch Songs by Twilight,” her beloved array of songs by artists like Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall, Amy Winehouse, Lena Horne, Sammy Davis Jr, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Peggy Lee, Judy Garland, Annie Ross, Donny Hathaway, and more!

Carol crossed the Atlantic from Edinburgh, Scotland, to bring her talents to the USA, where she now resides in Ohio. Carol has worked with stellar Ohio pianists, several bands and orchestras. Carol has appeared at the famous jazz hub, Night Town Restaurant, in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and also sings in a myriad of elegant, fine dining restaurants of downtown Cleveland.

Carol came to the U.S. via Bermuda, where she recorded radio jingles while enjoying palm trees, sun and pink sand. Once settled in her American home, she performed with several bands and orchestras, eg., Eddie Paolucci & The Leftovers, the Nuff Rey Orchestra, Rick Endress’ Little Big Band, and Elegy.

Carol was interviewed on WCPN by Cleveland’s own, Dee Perry. She is often mistress of ceremonies, and guest artist for black-tie galas and fundraisers. Most recently, she has been appearing at the Music School Settlement’s state-of-the-art jazz listening room, The Bop Stop.
